can i get my original teeth removed and permenant implants placed in?

i have a real problem with my teeth. iv had braces and everything but my teeth still arnt stright and they have bobbly bits on the end of them. you will all think im mad but i was wandering if i could get my all of my REAL teeth removed and have them replaced with permanant implants….and if so, what are the disadvantages of this being done?
im being deadly serious guys, help xxx

Whoa….you don’t want to get your permanent teeth extracted, in fact I would be totally shocked if a reputable dentist would voluntarily take them out….Look, Implants when they work, are great…however, implants are working on a national average of about 82%….A major issue is that there are no current tests that can determine if your body will accept the implants with a 100% guarantee…The fact is, your far better off with crooked natural teeth than you are with implants that might go bad…here’s my advice to make you look good. Go to a dentist and get evaluated with regard to having Porcelain Veneers created and placed over your crooked natural teeth…The Veneers can be made in a variety of shapes, thickness and color. There is no one that will do the implants for free. You should look into the dental schools in your area. The dental students can work on you under the supervision of a dentist and they are alot cheaper than going to a private office. Good Luck and I hope that this helps a little.

I have done many implants and had one done on me. There is no pain during the placement after the area is numbed. Afterward there is less discomfort than an extraction. Depending on where you live the price will range between $2000-$3000.

ABSOLUTELY. Those two teeth are the number 1 teeth to be missing congentally. I am missing only one of the two, which is not quite as common, but still a pretty normal thing to happen.

Braces are really useful if you have missing teeth, because it’s basically the only way that you can keep the space or close it completely.

Yeah, braces will most def. help you. You can have 2 options: close the gap and make your k-9’s your lateral incisors with some later reshaping, or keep the spaces there for implants or bridges later. When you get your retainer, you will probably get plastic teeth stuck on the thing (called a pontic). It’s not bad. You can later get implants or bridges or something, that will keep the space permenantly.

I have really bad teeth and yes, I know it’s disgusting (which is why I want to do something about it).

I have heard about in America they can remove all of your teeth and put in implants (not false teeth) that are permanantly in your mouth.

Can you get this done in the UK and does anyone know how much it costs? I don’t mind travelling to anywhere in the UK to get it done!

All four of my wisdom teeth were removed a year ago but my face has changed drastically. I know some people say it isnt possible but it has changed undoubtably and i doubt my face would have changed from a triangle to a square in 3 days.

No it is not done as this is very far back in the mouth and I doubt it has cahgned due to removing wisdom teeth.

Theyre very costly and they drill directly into your jaw bones to insert them, so if youve got a fat bank account and a high pain tolerance, GOOD LUCK!!

Ya know, everyone below who is saying that there is no pain or minimal pain seems to be ignoring the fact that EVERYONE is different! What hurts you, might not hurt me.. Also, not every Dental professional is the same, so where one Dental surgeon will perform a procedure and it’s relatively painless, another might perform the same prodedure and you’re in AGONY! So please! stop with the generalizations. There WILL be pain, they are drilling into your jawline for god sakes! and anyone who says there wont be is full of Crap.

So like i said, if you have the money, and can deal with the discomfort, then go for it.
