To activate the orthodontic palatal expander, insert the key into the hole of the screw, push towards the back of the mouth until you see the next hole appear, then remove the key.

@deucedemers um I … @deucedemers um I am pretty sure you are not able to take it off yourself.. it can take days or even weeks to get used to it unfortunately…
She is getting one … She is getting one that is removable. She will have to remove it to go swimming or to play sports. Hopefully it will be ok for her. Thanks so much for responding.

I’ve had mine for … I’ve had mine for almost 6 months, and I’m getting it off in march (: It’s kinda’ hard to get used to, because of all the food that gets stuck up there, but after a few weeks, you barely notice it. The only downside is that it gives you a huge gap.
