What teeth whitening strips work better after braces?

I just had my braces taken off and would like my teeth whiter before i start school…

any strip that reallly work?

and if i combine strips with whitening toothpaste will that speed up the process?

I can say that most of my patient’s have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses the Supreme which are 4 times stronger than what you can get in the store, but the others will work as well but take more time and possibly more than one kit. The results are usually pretty quick, noticeable in the first few days, best in a week or longer. If you can, do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar, plaque, or orthodontic cement) will impede their ability to work. They will not whiten any white fillings you may have, but whiten uniformly. Also, don’t use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). You should not drink or eat anything dark for at least 1/2 hour after using the strips.
The strips/trays are your least costly whitening method as compared to custom made trays or in office whitening ($500.00+) All of the methods (strips, trays, custom trays, in office whitening) have the potential to make your teeth temporarily sensitive, but will not harm the enamel. If you get sensitive use the product every other day in conjunction with a sensitive tooth toothpaste. You might try to drink dark liquids through a straw and don’t smoke. Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.

Good luck!

I need full upper and lower teeth implants does anyone do them free?

There is no one that will do the implants for free. You should look into the dental schools in your area. The dental students can work on you under the supervision of a dentist and they are alot cheaper than going to a private office. Good Luck and I hope that this helps a little.

Is removing 4 bicuspids for orthodontics going to alter my appearance?

I guess it’s hard to tell without posting pictures, but I have to remove four bicuspids. They said it would pull back my lips and change my profile, but I’m just wondering how much it will change. I’m also wondering if it will change my appearance from the front. Anyone with experience?

No it wont, it is done routinely

What exactly are lumineers and how much do they cost?

Do you know someone with these, is it safe?

Lumineers are porcelain type veneers that go over your existing teeth.

They cost between $1000 and $1300 per tooth.

How do i get Dentists to participate?

I am running a free dental work campaign on my website and i am looking for Dentists who would like to participate in providing Free Dental Work. Any ideas on how to get Dentists to help out? Dentists, we desperately need your help.

Jen

we already do lots of free work and take pleasure in choosing who to do it on. we don’t need a middle man to decide for us.

Can I major in business instead of biology or physics, etc and still continue to dentistry school in USA?

Can I major in business instead of biology, physics, etc and still continue to dentistry school in USA? For example, I take Bachelor’s degree in business in another country, can I still take dentistry in USA? If can, will the university prefer people with the biology/physics/etc major more?

Pre-dentistry doesn’t require you to major in a certain subject (e.g. bio or physics) yet there are still certain requirements of "pre-dentistry" that prepare you for dental school – such as a year of bio, several semesters of chemistry, a year of physics, and the like.

As long as you meet those requirements, dental school won’t care what your major is. Likewise, I believe if you’re an international student and you meet all the requirements/have a good GPA/good recommendations and the like, it won’t matter if your school is American or not.

What are the actual differences in a dentist and a dental nurse/assistant?

I’ve been to the dentists a few times lately and well my dentist has got her head srewed on but the nurses although nice people seem well no where near as on the ball!

Is there any way to get cosmetic dentistry on the NHS?

My teeth are a mess and I have gum disease. My dentist doesn’t seem that bothered and I am ashamed to smile.

sorry to hear that can you or have you tried talking to your dentist saying basically what you feel and what you would like to have done, sometimes its hard for them cause they will do what they can, have you taken and been willing to take advise he’s given you in the past? If you have gum disease then your dentist should be showing good effort in treying to help you keep that at bay by his treatment and advice for you at home eg cleaning etc,if you have or do all this and still the same see if you can transfer to other dentist in same place if you feel you could or if there is another one there,or move practices but make sure you have told him after trying that you are not happy as he must take this seriously. Hope this helps hun.Goodluck
