What is the Best teeth whitening product?
I’ve never used any teeth whitening products and I’d like to remove some stains from my teeth. So which one/ones works the best? A d does the white eventually fade back to the same color your tooth was before to where you’d have to whiten them again? If so, how long does the white usually last before it starts to fade?
A super easy quick way to see a difference in your teeth color is using this cheap home recipe with items you have at home.
- Brush your teeth well before you do this.
- Get a Dixie cup and dump in a teaspoon of baking soda
- Next take a cap full (lid) of hydrogen peroxide.
-Mix them together with a normal tooth brush.
- Dab teeth with the mixture or areas you want brighten.
- After you do that for all your teeth, spit out and rinse with water.
- I take a wet wash cloth and clean my teeth.
- THen brush your teeth to get the taste out, drink plenty of water.
This a very quick simple way to brighten your smile. Never do this treatment more than like once a week or a couple times a month bc it can hurt your enamels and gums. If you see that your gums turn white after you finish, its normal just clean with a wash cloth also it just means the peroxide is killing germs.

There are many options out there for teeth whitening. If you don’t mind spending quite a bit of money at the dentist office then Zoom teeth whitening would be the route to go. Zoom is very effective and takes only one, one hour treatment to make your teeth an average of 8 shades whiter. The only downsides to Zoom are its cost, which is usually over $600 and the sensitivity caused by the bleaching.
Another option is Opalescence. I actually use Opalescence myself and I love it. After my Invisalign procedure my dentist recommended that I use Opalescence to whiten my teeth and brighten my smile. Buying it at the dentist office is a little expensive, but nowhere near the cost of Zoom! After I ran out of Opalescence I decided to check Ebay for it and they had Opalescence for so much lower than what I had paid. For $45 you can get a 12 pack of syringes, which is such a great deal! I highly recommend buying this product because it can whiten your teeth just as well as Zoom for a fraction of the cost. The things that I love about it most are that there are different flavors like melon and mint, and also that it is so easy to use. All you have to do is apply the gel onto the inside of your whitening trays (which can also be found on Ebay), leave the trays on your teeth while you sleep, and wake up with a brighter, whiter smile. It only took me a month before my teeth were perfectly white.
The whitening could fade eventually if you wear down your teeth a lot, but that is impossible if you keep up with whitening each month. After achieving the shade that you prefer, you only have to continue whitening your teeth once or twice a month to maintain the shade that you prefer.
Another thing that I must add is that if you decide not to use any of the above whitening treatments, do not use Crest White Strips! They are not anywhere close to as powerful of a whitening product as any of the others that I have mentioned. They are overpriced and in order to achieve a decent shade of white you would have to waist a lot of money and spend many months applying those nasty strips to your teeth for 30 minutes daily. I think that the highest level of bleaching you can buy is 14% where as Opalescence has anywhere from 15-35% bleach power depending on how quick you want your teeth whitened.

As to how long it lasts? The bleaching lasts forever, however, if you continue to drink large quantities of red wine or coffee, or smoke, you will re-stain your teeth.
